Thank you, taucher, from this great hit :D The note is quite worn, as I sayid in the comment. It might have more time left in circulation if I spend it in France after couple months.

Sparkasse is a sort of local banks, all together under the name Sparkasse but split up in small regional banks, not dealing much with each other (e.g. changing at another Sparkasse not being the same as yours is often impossible, but getting money from the ATM works and they have branches nearly everywhere).

Münsterplatz means that it's a square (Platz) named Münster. I assume that they're talking about a minster as large church rather than of the city of Münster.

And then in Dutch (I'm still learning it and speaking is better than writing :mrgreen: )

If you have further questions, feel free to ask.

In an old tread on the Dutch section was written at the Volksbank you can get many :note-5: from the ATM.

Is this five years later still the same? Is there a list of this machines.

If I remember correctly, not all Volksbank branches have fivers in the machines, as Volksbank is a federation of small regional banks, and some don't participate in the scheme, but most do. I thought the older machines gave fivers more easily, but I'm not sure.

@Schach:
Vielen Dank. But I know where the the Volksbanks are, I live close to the border. I am in Germany at least once a week ;)

So in general you can say they do, I'll have a look there. Does the machine show which notes it has, like the Rabo ATM's in the Netherlands do?
