Hello everybody. Sorry about writing in English, but I really don't speak that much German. I was hoping you could help me. I'll be in München the weekend 6-7 December, and I'll be bringing my portable computer with me. I would like to know if there's any ISP in Germany that offers free dial-up Internet accounts, so just that I can check my e-mail and register bills while I'm there. Speed is not an issue, of course. I've been in Lyon last weekend, and unfortunately I forgot this little detail, so I couldn't connect at all while I was there. I'm going on a working trip, and although not really necessary, email would be VERY welcome.

So, please help me out here. Thank you. :)

The cheapest Internet-by-Call providers are listed here. After clicking on the name of one of them, you can see at the bottom of the page the data you'll need (number, username, and password).

Right across the Central Station in Munich, there is a store of EasyEverything, a giant internet café. You can't connect your portable there but in case you are in the neighborhood and desperate, they are a good choice.

Tahnk you both of you. Micro, those services are expensive 8O For what I understood, they're what we call in Portugal, "travelling access", right? (no user name, no password). Fortunately, I'll probably be able to refund those expenses ;) Gauss, I really appreciated your suggestion, but, as I said, this will be a working trip and I'll spend the best part of the weekend at the MOC (this means 8h30 - 22h00 on both days...). I won't even have time for sightseeing :?

Expensive? The prices are in cents, not euros  . You need to insert the cable of your laptop modem into a telephone wall plug, set up a new connection, enter username, password and telephone number, and start surfin'.

;) I got it. Still... 80 cents a minute? I wouldn't call that cheap. Of course, earnings in Germany are higher than in Portugal, so it's probably just from the point of view...

EDIT - No, I hadn't got it. NOW, I got it. They're actually quite cheap. Oopsie...

Unfortunately, it seems I won't be visiting your fair country after all... The time of the flight got changed, I wasn't warned and I really wasn't interested in getting there Saturday morning like the company suggested. Maybe next year. I've never been to Germany :?

Sorry, but I think it will not be possible for you to get the coin! Everybody wants this coin! On ebay you will pay the double or triple price! I tried to get this coin last year, and although I am a customer at the Austrian Mint I did not get one. But you can try to make a reservation for the 2006 coin...
