W-EBTM10 - Live from Malta

Like after the other meetings, I have mixed emotions: grateful and glad to have met and seen again so many nice fellowtrackers; explored new places and grateful for a great job of the organisers. On the other hand a little melancholic that it is over now.

Ewri and Sharatan, thank you so much for having organized this great time. Be sure you have made many new friends from all over Europe.

And well,right after the good byes, Yli and me started on foot. In spite of the less favourable weather, we were not keen on going back to Qawra and kind of hanging around. So we left Valletta and walked via Hamrun and Marsa to San Venera where we have caught a bus back to Qawra. It goes without saying that we had certainly lost our way and ended up walking through the not-touristy residential neighbourhoods. This, however, was interesting as well, getting a (superficial) more genuine impression on where the Maltese people live.

@ maarsy, YES it is raining like hell...am glad I decided to stay at home. Though it does feel quite nice to hear it battling the windows

Although I didn't attend the tour this morning, I want to say that I had an amazing time this weekend meeting all the lovely EBTers that came to Malta. Hopefully I will be a much more active tracker now!!

I want to thank Ewri for organising the W-EBTM10 in Malta and for all the hard work she put in. New friendships were made, coins swapped and most importantly a LOT of notes were tracked. Thanks also to Sharatan3, Doctor Who (and Fleur) and Ewru for representing Malta and helping out our guests

I can't wait for the next EBTM, I really hope I can make it!

Thanks for all those attending for making it a memorable meeting for me. Each and every one of you made the meeting more interesting and wonderful.

I hope you all enjoyed the meeting, Malta, it's people and its notes. Unfortunately, the weather had some negative impact on today's program, something which we managed to avoid yesterday.

I'm more eager to see you all in Florence now, and in the meantime, I'll fight hard in finding your thousands of notes you all left over the islands.

I can only thank you all EBTers very much as I couldn't agree more with Ewri and Onamali that this international meet-up here in Malta was really wonderful.

A big thank you goes to Ewri for all the hard and well organized work she put to this EBTM-MT'10. I also want to thank ALL the maltese trackers for giving their good share in helping out to make our "foreign" friends feel at home here. I was very happy to meet again all those amazing people that I've already met in other meet-ups and also enjoyed meeting other new wonderful trackers. I hope that you all enjoyed yourselves here in even though the weather on Sunday wasn't at all pleasant not letting us enjoy Valletta's visit as much as we would have liked to.

One thing for sure is that us maltese trackers will be all over the country searching hard for those notes left here to make very 'Interesting Meet-up Hits.' (I for sure will be! )

Florence, here we come! I hope to see all of you again there this summer (including NOW1K, in spirit).

Ok, I am at the airport of malta now, waiting at the gate to bard my flight. Traveling with the public transport early in the morning worked fine and I was awake anyway as the wind became very strong at the early morning hours making a lot of noice outside from falling things...

Most times I'll wait until I'm back home to post this, but because this would take almost a week I'll do it today.

Allthough it was forecasted to rain saturday, it stayed dry.
Yesterday it did rain, but because we were in the city it wasn't that bad.

I specially was suprised, you organised all buses for transportation.
This way we could see a lot of Malta and Gozo.
Also the way back to Buggiba/Qawra by public transportation was special: I knew about the old buses, but now we've used them too.
