Since a response from other possible Austrian candidates so far hasn't been forthcoming, I announce my (re-)candidacy for the Austrian seat.
I'm a 37 years old (mostly database) programmer (currently between jobs) with some experience in graphic design. I'm a Linux 'freak' and sporadically write small patches for projects that interest me. I'm also interested in languages, though I only speak German and English fluently; I can read romance and other germanic languages well enough to answer some support requests, and I am currently learning Slovenian.
And what about EBT?
At EBT I'm a coordinate plotter, Babel translator, and support member sporadically answering email requests (and rather more often answering P.M. requests
I've also been considering becoming a member of the web-dev working group, but put that off for when the note entering virus releases it's hold on me a bit. When (not if!) I do join that working group, expect some developments in site design and the way city profiles are managed.
Also I've been member of the BoD representing Austria from 2008-2009 and with avij organized the new logo competition.
So why do it again?
Well, I'm addicted to EBT enough that I want to do my share in helping managing it - it's quite a beast and it does need constant supervision.
