I picked 2.5 Mbps but I have got 2048 kbps (so 2Mbps). 2.5 Mbps was the closest choice.
ADSL (ISP : Wanadoo) for 39€ a month.

I have a 512/128 ADSL connection for €35/month, limited to 2GB of international downloads and 20GB of nacional. Each 100MB international donwload is + €1,5 and national is + €0,10.

In Portugal there aren't many ISPs that offer a faster connection, and the ones that do have high prices. But I think that is about to change... I hope.

I just ordered a 256/256 ADSL to my home yesterday. It's fast enough to EBTF and read email. The connection can later be extended into a quite cheap 8Mbit connection, when we get new computers.

I was right, it changed! :D

Now I can have a 2Mbps connection for the same price of my old 512Kbps. But currently I have 4Mbps (upload 256Kbps) for €45,86/month, with unlimited national downloads and 4GB of international downloads.

I had a month ago ADSL 8/1Mbs for 38€/month, but I lowered it into 2Mbs/512kbs for 31€/month. I didn't need so fast connection.

I've updated mine too!
I now have 2MBPS with unlimited downloads, for €17.50 a month. Not bad at all!
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
