I'm driving an Opel Corsa 1.2 sice 2 weeks.
I consider this as a compact car, because I've had smaller in the past.

A compact car (VW Golf) is bigger than a micro car (Renault Twingo, Smart). I am not sure but I think that a VW Polo / Opel Corsa is micro as well. A compact car (VW Golf) is bigger than a micro but smaller than a classic sedan (Ford Mondeo). I would categorize the VW Jetta/Bora/Vento (Golf derivate) as compact although it has a trunk like a sedan.fjon wrote:What would the difference be between a Micro and a Compact car?

This would mean you put a Smart and a Corsa in the same category,
It are just 2 totally different types of cars.

I am aware of this. How would you differentiate? I interpret micro as smaller than compact. This means also that the Renault Twingo and the Renault Clio belong to the micro category, while the Renault Megane represents the compact class. Maybe we need a "small" category between micro and compact. Any idea for a proper nomenclature?!Pretfles! wrote:This would mean you put a Smart and a Corsa in the same category,
