A few years ago I rode from Austria to The Netherlands and in Germany we rode 220 km/h hour after hour. Extremely exhausting on a motor bike!

Please be carefull with that, one wrong move and you're history

My old Peugeot 309 1600 automatic (second hand car) 174Km/h between Antwerpen and Oostende, Belgium (speed limit was 120km/h)

Of course, the car died before his time. :?
The Peugeot 309 was not made for tis kind of speed.

finnbar wrote:Actual speed (from GPS navigator) of 150 km/h (speed limit 120) and 140 km/h (speed limit 100) are my records with '99 VW Passat Variant (1.9Tdi 90 bhp) that I'm using. It might be possible to roll something like 170 km/h with it. Not quite a race car, but enough for me :)

This one is in need of an update too. My new record is 177@100 with a MB E200 CDI 2007.

I was also driving the very same car 95@60 as cops caught me. Result: 300€ fine  Brighter side of the incident was that they didn't see me doing my speed record a day before that. :D

Actually, that car was wrecked by my colleague today. Luckily not at that high speed. :)
