... I think it's time for an update
Mine - Opel Astra 1.7cdti - 220 km/h (btw, I no longer have the Smart fortwo)
I've driven a full-height (something like 2,4 meters) MB Sprinter 318CDI at 170 km/h down a hill, but it was really freaking me out, as car has the "aerodynamics of a lakeside sauna" (according to one of my clients). Also my friends BMW 5-series had something over 180 as I drove it and tried to stay behind him.
170-180 km/h seems to be enough for me, as I've already driven it with three different cars.

Only 110 km/h. And I haven't got the driving license yet! (It was with the driving school car).
Using a bike, my record is in 58 km/h, but that was downhill.

276km/h with a 2011 BMW M3 between Berlin and Wolfsburg. In that speed it was the electric limiter cutting thew speed. The car could have done more!
Living away from Euro zone in the beautiful Vancouver, Canada since January 2012. Experiences and stories of living in here can be found in here (in Finnish).
personally the quickest I drove was on my way to Berlin was 210 with my Mercedes but the quickest I ever went was 300 in a Ferrari on an event in Belgium at francouchamps

Since then I've got my driving license, and I only got to 100 km/h once, since I haven't entered the motorway yet. I have also gone past the 60 km/h mark riding my bike, and I peaked at 63.3 km/h once. Of course, it was done going down this slope (Huesca is on the background).
Edit: Nevermind, just some hours after writting this I drove onto A-22 motorway and I got to 120 km/h with a van!

i got my driver's licence a few weeks ago, but as i haven't had a chance of driving since then, the fastest i ever drove was during my driving lessons. my teacher decided to do all the motorway lessons in one go as i had a free day and so i was in the car behind the steering wheel for about six hours. apparently he had another appointment later that day so he had to be back in leipzig quite early and on the way back he had me drive very fast. i did my very best, but the car didn't make it any faster that 170 km/h, so that's the fastest i ever drove

My step-father was a car-dealer, so I can't remember car name nor model, but anyway... I was around 18-19 years old (just got driving license) with speed 208km/h. That was not-winter time in Finland. Nowadays there's a highway, but that time it was just "normal" road, speed limit probably 80 or 100km/h. Long straight starting from Shell Mäntsälä on Helsinki-Lahti road. Few years (and propably many new brain-cells) later my record has been around 160-170km/h on German auto-bahn. I think 1-2 summers ago was "only" 150, and with my present (heavy) vehicle record is 117km/h (and that's navigator speed, so it should be real speed, other speeds are "measured" by car, so those are probably 10% too much or so)... No need to rush anymore as safe feeling is much more important... Maybe after 20 years more my speed will be 50km/h. Safe travel for everyone
