Löwenbräu, Heineken, Lapin Kulta & Co: What is your beer

Post by Asiamaniac »

Hello Eurobeertrackers! Living in Germany has really got some good aspects: We still have a high density of beer breweries and so you never get bored in trying this and that stuff. And the oldest, still valid nutrition law in the world (A.D. 1516) is valid here and refers to the ingredients of beer.

And so I keep on trying and drinking the different beers.

Of course, I am also open to beers from other countries. During the EBTM04 Belgian beers were quite delicious for me. In Austria, I enjoy my "Zipf"; Carlsberg and Heineken are also quite popular brands here. Today, on the occasion of our annual intercultural festival in Wiesbaden, I enjoyed a Lapin Kulta from Lapland.

What about you, Eurobilldrunkards? Which beers do you enjoy from time to time? How do they taste like?

Mine's the Coronitas, I don't like very much beers, but I like this very much; with or without lemon and sometimes with some tequila

Mine is Grolsch, and occasionally I'll have a Corona or a Desperado, but that's mostly on hot summer nights.
In autumn I prefer a Bockbeer every now and then.
EDIT: I almost forgot to mention Gueuze Lambic... which is a long time favourite

I like many different beers, so I can't say I have favourite one, and I am always open to try a different taste, with preference to "light" beers. The ones I drink more often are Guinness and Corona,

from far away, it looks a bit like beer, but believe me, it isn't

Czech and Germany have some good Pils, but the best beers are without any doubt the Belgian beers.

Most drank by me are Palm, Duvel, Westmalle tripel and Kriek

If I'm very thirsty I like to drink a pils preferably a STELLA ARTOIS or MAES.

If I want to enjoy a beer and sip it I usually go for the darker beers like LEFFE, GRIMBERGEN, CHIMAY, CINEY or what they have in the pub.

Now and then I go for a DUVEL or JUDAS.

From half december I drink PALM DOBBEL untill they run out of it. It's a beer only available round Christmas and New Year.

Where available I very much enjoy DE KONINCK aka BOLLEKE.

In my younger days I always drank VIEUX TEMPS and later on when it became more famous WITTE VAN HOEGAARDEN.

When abroad I allways drink the local beer. Sometimes they're very good ,sometimes not.

In holland I NEVER drink beer because they don't have any.

After this you should'nt think I'm an alcoholic. I have bought a case of Leffe last Christmas and the last bottle I drank at easter. So I'm not that much of a drinker but I happen to like different kind of beers
