The "V" Printer

Post by tabbs »

When I enter a second generation euro note that was made in Spain (printer code and serial number start with a "V"), I can see a note like this:

"This is a 5 Euro note from 2013. The printer code is Vxxxxx. This means that the note was printed at Fabrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (Spain - Madrid)."

That is not quite right - the FNMT produces Spanish coins, for example, but not banknotes. The new paper money manufacturer is called Imbisa or IMBISA (Imprenta de Billetes, S.A.), see Banco de España's 2-Nov press release here: http://www.bde.es/f/webbde/GAP/Seccione ... 5_44en.pdf

Maybe we can get that changed @EBT too ...

Fixed now.

Thanks, avij. It's basically the same printer as before, just with a new "label". :)
