Sveicieni!
I got Latvian 1€ coin as a change money in RIMI supermarket in the centre of Tallinn, Estonia today. It's very beautiful and shiny. Nice! So pleased, that Latvia have € now. I have a plan to take a trip to Latvia this autumn (MXoN in Ķegums!!).

This might be the first Latvian euro coin captured by an EBTer outside Latvia. :)

I'm also eagerly waiting for the milestone of first Latvia-to-Latvia hit.

Welcome Latvia in EuroBillTracker :D !

I'm searching the source (news, video and so on) regarding EuroBillTracker in Latvian Press. If you have any news about EBT, please send me a PM with link of the news, so I can update the Press Page. Thanks so much for your help :D !

The current situation is that in the morning people wake up, kiss their spouse, go to work, while on the way back home buy something from a shop, when home kiss they spouse again, eat something and go sleeping.

Also, because Latvia has much more bureaucracy than Estonian but cheaper wages, some businesses are located right at the border so that Latvian workers come every day to Estonia to work.

Please, Latvian EBTers, feel free to inform the Support Team when you insert notes in a new town.
There is a "Support" in the clickable words (on the left of the web-page).
And feel free to give the coordinates of the new city (longitude and latitude).
Because the coordinates in EBT are used in the decimal format, it would be helpful if you would give them in that format.

So, not like: 56°57'4,35'' N 24°5'39,86'' E , but as: 56,9512083333° N, 24,0944055556° E

Last week I sent out the press release to numerous media, and the only one who has picked it up is huge - it is LNT Evening News, which is viewed by approximately 150 000 people. It is the second most popular daily news show on TV in Latvia.

EBT was featured in a three minutes long story on this evening's news, which has already brought in ~100 newly registered users from Latvia in a timespan of a couple of hours.

http://www.tvnet.lv/online_tv/35438-lnt_zinas_20140111" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - the story begins at 20:40, it interviews best-known local social media expert Artūrs Mednis as well as an official from the Euro introduction PR team

The newly registered users have also set a new daily record for notes entered from Latvia - 608 (there were just 702 notes entered throughout the whole 2013.. :D)

Sounded kinda as if the leader of the Latvian Euro inauguration had used EBT at least once or twice. The same probably applies to Mednis. Makes me wonder... How many notes has for example W. Duisemberg entered? :D
