I immediately noticed the JET is only printing :note-20:s. Will they be printed by three different printers?
Also of note: Belgium and Italy will print , Portugal continues with (though I haven't heard of any part the Portuguese 2011 production has been found yet).
Large note printing returns to Germany.

Auftrag über die Herstellung von Euro-Banknoten der ersten Serie (ES 1) in einem besonders gesicherten Verfahren (bezüglich Herstellung, Lagerung und Transport, auch der Vorprodukte) für die BBk an von der Europäischen Zentralbank bezüglich Sicherheit und Qualität zertifizierte Banknotendruckereien, mit Ausnahme von eigenen Druckereien der Notenbanken, d.h. Druckereien, die rechtlich und organisatorisch Teil einer Notenbank sind. Ein Teil dieser Banknoten ist für die BBk selbst, der andere Teil für andere Notenbanken des Eurosystems bestimmt.
Anträge auf Zertifizierung können bei der Europäischen Zentralbank, Kaiserstrasse 29, 60311 Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland gestellt werden.
Lieferzeitraum beginnend voraussichtlich ab Januar 2012 bis Dezember 2012. Los 1 soll dabei voraussichtlich über den o.g. Zeitraum verteilt in monatlich etwa gleichbleibenden Mengen geliefert werden. Bei den Losen 2, 3 und 4 verteilt sich die Lieferung voraussichtlich auf etwa sechs zwischen BBk und Auftragnehmer noch festzulegenden Monaten während des o.g. Zeitraums. Nach Abstimmung zwischen BBk und Auftragnehmer ist auch ein früherer Lieferbeginn möglich.
Das Vergabeverfahren umfasst insgesamt 4 Lose. Die Lose werden an unterschiedliche Bieter vergeben.
Der Gesamtumfang beträgt 2 153 290 000 Stück Euro-Banknoten der Serie 1 in folgender Stückelung:
— 752 460 000 Stück Euro 50 (Los 1),
— 526 350 000 Stück Euro 10 (Los 2),
— 526 350 000 Stück Euro 10 (Los 3),
— 298 130 000 Stück Euro 100 und 50 000 000 Stück Euro 200 (Los 4).

I am not so sure about that, because some printers start with printing the 2012 tender as early as August or September. For example the first P/E fivers that were printed for the year 2009 were bundled in wraps dated as early as August 2008. Since Draghi replaces Trichet as late as the end of October, a part of them might still be printed with Trichets signature.

According to the ECB-site Estonia should produce . As far as I am aware they haven't been reported yet. Do they still have to come or does Estonia produce them the Luxembourg-way?

notes should have the letter R but carry the letter of the country where they are actually printed. I was wondering if was doing the same. So at least for the moment, this seems not the case.

The situation in is, that any coin or banknote has to show the face of the ruler, so the notes do not have the letter "R" but letter of the
printer states.

I know about that rule but that doesn't make it impossible that other countries, for whatever reason, use the same trick.

Remember that the new fivers scheduled to arrive on 2011 finally appeared in December. There's still plenty of time remaining.
