There is a phenonenon that has been the norm for years here in the United States, and is probably done in a few countries and not others, and that is writing numbers on notes as they are counted.
Lets say that someone has counted 147 5 Euro notes. There are two piles of 50 notes and a pile of 47. What the person has done is made a small note for themselves as to how much is on that pile.
Get used to seeing this. Writing on the notes will probably drive the central banks insane until they learn to ignore it.
