mismatch in country short code and serial nr.

hello,

whikle inserting a 5 euro bil I came across this bill
short code begins with E001F4 coming from FRANCE
and a serial starting with L0842xxxxxx saying it came from Denmark ??

so my question is, is this normal or do I have a fake bill here ??

any remarks ??

Yes, it is possible that notes are printed in another country than the serial number suggests. I don't have an E/L

yet, but I have 4 such

.
By the way, Serial number L is Finland, not Denmark.

Hi,

Yes it's normal. Many of the Finnish (L)

were printed in France (E)

There is a finnish Topic that shows the common Printer/Serial combinations - I don't know if it is complete. But at least it is not uncommmon to find such notes.

E001** and a serial starting with L084**, L085** and L086** have been pooling notes in Belgium. We had a lot of them.
