Tracking in countries, which don't use postal codes

Post by pogum1 »

I have tracked some notes in Mauritius, however, when I wanted to insert their SN's and shortcodes, it reminds me, that there is a missing part of information,i.e. postal code. Immediately I checked on the Universal Post Union web site, where is stated, that Mauritius hasn't any ZIP code system.

Any suggestions, how to "fix" this problem?

If a country doesn't use any ZIP codes, for example also the U.A.E. just leave this field empty and try to specify the place (district, borough) in the comment field.

Ireland doesn't really use postcodes either (apart from Dublin), so I just use county names.
It doesn't have any effect on where the map will appear (hopefully), it just might make it a bit harder if you're the first person to enter a note from that place for someone to match the dot up to a spot on the map.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
