I also hope that the economic downturn played a role in the reduction of entered notes here on EBT. We'll see when the crisis is over if numbers will begin to rise again.
It's comforting that some "minor" states are improving their performance (France, Italy) while some of the biggest ones are decreasing (Germany, Finland): more balance means more fun, because it's easier to have hitparners in several different countries, instead of alternate hits to Berlin, Helsinki, Berlin and Helsinki. ;)

Some years ago I also thought that the gradual expansion of the eurozone would make our project ever more attractive (imagine hits from Lisbon to Bucarest, from Sofia to Stockholm...), but in the next few years no new countries are joining, so we'll have to reinvigorate our project with our own efforts.
