The EBT-Tool (0.99.11.3 / 11.01.2011)
Moderators: avij, Phaseolus, Fons
I now have an Update for the noticed problem. So what is fixed now:
- the crash after reading the csv modified by the tool
- the tool starts now again on the statistics page
- the enter notes page is again scrolled to the top
To verify if you have the latest version look into the Info-Window
- the versionnumber from today is: 0.99.9c .eu
- the builddate is: 2007-12-31 (Silvester Edition )
You can download the exe of the Tool from Avijs Server with the known adress:
http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/util/ebt.exe
greetings

A little bug again: the EBT-tool doesn't recognize San Marino correctly.
The EBT site accepts only San Marino, and the Tool uses San-Marino, so it's impossible enter notes from San Marino using the Tool.
And in the statistics page, the Tool doesn't display correctly the San Marino's flag.

Not really a bug, since everything works fine otherwise, but it *is* strange behaviour:
When I click the "Load CSV" button, a dialog box appears to select the folder where said .csv should be saved. I select c:\program files\ebt tool where the executable is as well and i see two folders ("*****_statistics", where ***** is your user number and "hits") and the previous mynotes.csv.
However, when I browse that folder on Windows Explorer, all that sits there is the .exe. Is this supposed to happen? Some weird bug in Vista (which I'm using)? The files are not hidden, I'm sure of that, they're just *not there*.
As I said, everything works fine apart from that, is just some quirk.

I don't know if this was mentioned before...
The EBT Tools seems to have a problem with slovenian notes. While loading the notes, it stops at the first slovenian note and gives a 'Key "H" not found' error. Only the notes before the first slovenian note are then loaded.
I guess the tool needs to be modified to be able to digest H notes?

Hi tomaz (and all other users ),
i simply forgot to announce the "H-update" in the international forum, because there are still some little points to be done.
So here is the announcement first:
- you can't filter for slovenian notes
- there are wrong flags for a few countries
- the comment-input-fields are not allways the same length
greetings
ernie

The following problems still need to be solved:I just finished the next patch for the EBT-Tool.
The following changes have been done:
- Slovenian notes will be recognized on the enter-page
- Slovenia is part of the list of note origin countries
- "San Marino" is written the same way as on the EBT-page
- The Buttons for Send, Save, Load, Clear are exchanged to prevent pressing the wrong one
- While loading the count of notes is displayed more often to get a better feeling for what is happening. But its not faster than before
You can identify the lastest version by the following data in the Info-Window:
- versionsnumber: 0.99.9d .eu
- date: 2008-05-05
You can download the new exe-File from my server at:
http://euro.ernie.no-ip.info/ebt-tool/ebt.exe
Just replace your existing File with this on.
Please report any Problems in this Thread.

I don't know if this has been reported before:
It is possible to enter notes without selecting the country. If you save that form and load it later to enter them into EBT, it's possible to send the data to EBT.
But: EBT doesn't enter those notes and the tool deletes the form after trying to send it.
Result: all note data from that form is lost .
It happened to me one with some notes from Spain .

I'm having troubles with notes from Slovenian. A popup comes up saying "Key H not found".
EDIT
Nevermind. I tried the version that ernies posted here. The version of EBT-Tool on its website is not working correctly with the notes for Slovenia.

On the bandwith page in both statistics and hits you can see the serials by country. It misses Belgium. My beautiful country.ernie_hh wrote:Hi tomaz (and all other users ),

Ah, look at all the lonely Euronotes. Where do they all come from? (The Beatles, Eleanor Rigby)

Re: The EBT-Tool (0.99.9b)
Im my language, our major city is called Lisboa and the city's profile has that name.Dakkus wrote:There is no Lisboa!
What I can't understand is why it puts the same name in 2 different lines. At home it's only one line. At work I had to download today the file from Ernie's link and it happened what's shown in the image.
