Anyone here speak Polish?

Post by SeanW »

Hi everyone;

I've been trying to promote EBT here in Ireland, though in an amateur and sporadic fashion and with no success to speak of. In my local town (Longford) we have a considerable community of Polish immigrants. I walked past a couple of Polish shops (commonly called "Polski Sklep") and I'm pretty sure some of them take window advertisements for a fee as they have advertisements for LycaMobile, a mobile phone service aimed at migrant communities or something.

I have a template for an A4 sized window advertisement for EBT in English and I'm thinking of asking the Polish shops to show it on their door. I think I'd have more success if it was tailored to them though (i.e. in their language). I know I could use Google translate, but it doesn't translate syntax, certain words etc. properly. I've posted it here in case someone can tell me where I might get it translated well.

Thanks in advance.

The file is a zip file and it contains an ODT (Open Document Text) from the OpenOffice.org suite. It might be easier if I just post a screenshot of the document,

Improving the tracking in Ireland would be great!
And if the tracking is improved via Polish citizens... it looks like an inter-cultural project! ;)

A Polish translation of your poster:

Zastanawiałeś się kiedyś, skąd pochodzą Twoje banknoty euro? Dokąd dotrą?

Sprawdź na http://www.eurobilltracker.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

To nic nie kosztuje,
jest łatwe
i jest dobrą rozrywką!

Good luck with your promoting efforts, looking forward to some Ireland - Poland hits! :D
