Re: Destruction of old design 5 euro notes
similar things here.. i see the number of old in southern germany to be very low, but stable; ~1/10 i'd say.. i do see old at atms from time to time, but only in such branches that have cash recycling atms..
in northern italy where i currently spend most time the number of old is significantly higher and seems to be slowly growing compared to summer! don't know what banks hand out though since i only enter notes i get from circulation while in italy..

I don't know how you calculated your numbers and where you made the error, but similar stats were already easily available without errors at http://miuku.net/tmp/first-europa-notes.txt" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , showing 49.3505% for Netherlands.

Re: Destruction of old design 5 euro notes
It's true, that here (in Finland) is lots of more old fivers than the new ones My own five euro notes speak about that, because I have entered 34 in the year 2014 and 31 of that are old fivers. And I think that it's good thing, because I have got many new combinations with old Duisenberg notes. Some of us are so lucky that they got great hits from Austria with those notes. It's funny to think that we use money which have been in Austria (and somewhere else too) many years ago and then those notes have been in banks many years and now we use it again. And I speak especially about notes which come from Geldservice Austria bunches. I would say that in Finland most of old fivers are Duisenberg notes now

Hi
In the best way to find again old is to come into a bank and to ask to the cash desk...with smiling, of course !
(Just for information, today, I have gone to Brabant Wallon's province : only ONE ATM (CBC Wavre) gave to me a mix of "2002" & "2013" 50% / 50% ! )

What happened in Slovakia? Less than 200 in the last 7 days
Ontopic: I received UNC fivers from the 2002 series from an ATM in last Thursday. I hope DNB keeps the 2002 fivers in roulation for a long time, but I'm not happy with UNC 2002 fivers (very low hit chance).

this means that a lot of old notes were deleted within that week
Now it's Monday again (oops, Tuesday, the church bell is ringing )
last week:
06.01.2014 - 13.01.2014
Germany: 44268 / 46774 = 94,6%
Finland: 2137 / 7102 = 30,1%
Netherlands: 5006 / 9549 = 52,4%
this is in line with the recent numbers on your other page
- not very high number of entered notes in both countries, I was only searching for the countries with most entered notesDioniz wrote:Not that I have anything against Slovakia but is there any special reason to put Slovenia and Slovakia statisticly together
- (guess) similar note distribution, neighbourhood to Austria
- the possibility in my Excel formulae to search for different countries at once

Re: Destruction of old design 5 euro notes
In last weeks I have seen more new fivers, especially in bigger shops that need lot of change money (from banks.) So I think that new fivers are slowly going in circulation and taking the place of old fivers in Finland. But I'm sure that most of fivers will be old ones for many months after this message, at least in some parts of Finland.

Yeah, that's my impression as well. I actually get a little surprised when I find an old one these days.
