Characters in signature

If you use several links in your signature, like I do, the character limit is too strict. I would be happy if you could either just increase the number of allowed characters or change it in a way that only the visible characters are counted.

Sorry, phpBB doesn't let us count only visible characters. The limit is there for a reason. If long URLs bother you, how about using TinyURL?
