:note-20: E/U 4x

I'm waiting. They should be printed in NL (G printer code) like those for Slovenia. But we've got new :note-20: G/P pooling notes and not :note-20: G/H as some expected.

No, :note-20: G006, G007/P are pooling notes in Slovenia, because officially they are Dutch (P code). That's why I'm a little sceptical about new letters F for Maltese and G for Cypriot :note-20: notes that will be issued this year. They might be P-notes as well. :roll:

Today, the Luxemburg Central Bank made its annual report 2008 public;
it states they have produced 13,2 million :note-20: in 2008; these notes have been printed by Delarue.
If you are looking for these notes, they are the :note-20: H006/L260, and they are quite hard to find!
(the E003/ L250-L259 are the real finnish notes produced in 2007)
(the G005-G006 / L261-L283 are the real finnish notes produced in 2008)
(still no finnish notes produced in 2009 found)

I believe the P/L were the 2006 Finnish notes. I remember seeing this once on the forum, but I can't remember were it is.

And I've looked for it, here it is:

http://forum.eurobilltracker.com/viewto ... 27#p652227" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Though he turned out to be wrong about the H/L's and I was wrong, P/L were the 2005 Finnish :note-20:, they apprently printed their E/L :note-5: in 2006.
My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

(Because this is one of the things about the euro that interests me, and I don't know if the info all together can be found somewhere else.)

This is a list of where the Luxembourg banknotes were printed, according to the annual reports of the Luxembourg Central Bank, with my conclusion after the arrow (->).

Trichet Signature:
2009 - There should be :note-20: this year.
2008 - printer H, 13,3 million :note-20: -> H/L
2007 - printer G, 9,6 million :note-100: -> G/P (The Netherlands also printed :note-100: in 2007)
2006 - printer H, 10,2 million :note-100: -> H/L (Likely only the H002, as Finland printed :note-100: in 2004)
2005 - printer F, 4,8 million :note-500: -> F002/N
2004 - printer R, 1,9 million :note-500: -> R/X (Similar to 2007, Germany also printed :note-500: in 2004)

If I'm correct, notes printed 2003 and before have Duisenberg's signature:
2003 - printer R, 1,9 million :note-200: -> R/X (Similar to 2007 and 2004, Germany also printed :note-200: in 2003)
2002 - printer D, 30 million :note-100: -> D/L (A surprise, at least to me. These are probably the D002/L :note-100:, or part of it; Finland printed :note-100: a year later)

Pre-introduction: I cannot find it.
My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

2004 - printer R, 1,9 million :note-500: -> R/X (Similar to 2007, Germany also printed :note-500: in 2004)

If I'm correct, notes printed 2003 and before have Duisenberg's signature:

So, if I'm not wrong, this mean that if Luxembourg decided to use its serial numbers starting with R, we should now have in circulation notes with these combinations: :note-100: D/R, G/R and H/R; :note-200: R/R; :note-500: R/R and F/R; :note-20: H/R. Or am I wrong?
(This is a thing I even was curious to know, thanks for the info!)

2009 - :note-20: Will be/have been printed by G; serial will begin with P, F, G or H (or who knows R?!!)
2008 - :note-20: printer H, 13,3 million -> H006/L260
2007 - :note-100: printer G, 9,6 million -> only the G008/P0600-P0626 I think (The Netherlands also printed in 2007, G008-G009/P0251-0528)
2006 - :note-100: printer H, 10,2 million -> H002/L230-233 (H001 (L220-227) printed for Finland in 2004)
2005 - :note-500: printer F, 4,8 million -> F002/N
2004 - :note-500: printer R, 1,9 million -> R/X (Germany also printed R/X in 2004, so ???)
2003 - :note-200: printer R, 1,9 million -> R/X (Germany also printed R/X in 2003, so ???)
2002 - :note-100: printer D, 30 million -> D001/L112-L128 (the D002/L (+ a few sheets of D001 that remained) for Finland in 2003 (23million) (L129-L141))

For the introduction, they signed contracts with G and R (only for the :note-10: ) for 46 million notes in total:
:note-5: 6 million G/P
:note-10: 3 million R/X
:note-20: 13 million G/P
:note-50: 11 million G/P
:note-100: 3 million G/P
:note-200: 2 million G/P
:note-500: 8 million F/N (due to an agreement between G and F to pool the production of the :note-200: and the :note-500:)

Just one thing to add: for these shortcode will be G007 or possibly even higher.

Edit: and a small comment on the H/L :note-20:, if there are 13 million of them, shouldn't there be L261 as well?

Edit2: To Al s'é pers: Yes you are correct, with the addition of the pre-introduction G/R :note-5: :note-20: :note-50: :note-100: :note-200:, R/R :note-10: and F/R :note-500:.

Re: Rare Euro banknote

Post by fcbruges »

yes, there should be H006 / L261 as well, but I have not seen them until now. The first G / L reported so far start at G / L262.
By the way, I have not figured out the numberingsystem of these H/L yet; did anyone get this?

Hopefully we will see R-notes in the future; but there probably will have to be a change in the Luxemburg constitution first!?
It appears that there is an article in the Luxemburg constitution, whitch is interpreted in such a manner that Luxemburg cannot print any "Luxemburgian" (is this correct??) banknotes without the Grand-Duc being printed on them.
This is also the case with the Eurocoins; just have a look at the common commemorative 2€-coins (2007 - Treaty of Rome; 2009 - 10 years of EMU) with that little addition to the common design showing the Grand-Duc's profile.
