Well the euro is going up in comparison to US $, but its growth regarding towards other currency is not that exponential. So the global of the euro is not so big considering other currencies.
The petrol is becoming more and more expensive and the dollar is weaker and weaker ; therefor, we live in quite stable energy-prices...
A strong euro can be seen as a hinder for export, but as we can produce with "cheap" raw materials, I do not feel that it really hurts.
I am now at the head of a company that exports 40% of its production ; I know that we are expensive, especially in third-world countries ; but my main problem is not the price of the €uro, but the cost of labour (especially in France )

Yesterday evening 1 E = 1,49 S, but today only 1,48.
I'm waiting for 1,50: the champagne is waiting too ...

I guess its not just the € getting stronger, but rather the US$ loosing value. I mean, not only the relative value in exchange rates but the objective value that it gets from representing the US economy. Really its the US and its financial situation that is weakening - no wonder after years of expensive warfare and bad leadership.

No wonder at all! I hearded that in many country around the world the gouvernments are progressively changing the nationals reservs from dollars to euros, and that is another things that make euro stronger and dollar feebler.Beatminister wrote: no wonder after years of expensive warfare and bad leadership.
Wednesday evening I was listenig on TV that an italian industry had problems in exportation in USA, they make brake for cars, what the solution? They bought an industry in USA! This sistem was used in Italy for years when our coin was feeble and now we do it with USA.... the history is changing

Yes, but another decade of Bush-style administration and we will have war against: Iran, Siria, North Korea, Venezuela and an half dozen of other countries. Another decade of Bush-style administration and we will see all our cultures destroyed by stupid wars.Beatminister wrote:Another decade of Bush-style government and we can buy the entire country.
And I was forgotten the climate change, that mr Bush said, in 2004, that was a local probleme of Europe. Katrina has comed, but he didn't nothing and he had continued to pollue and pollue and pollue.

Hi! In the last days I didn't look at the changes, but few minutes ago, at the television I heard that
1 E = 1,5088 $
interesting, isn't it?
