Radovan Karadžić has been captured the 22 of July in a bus of Beograd; he had changed name and look, with a long beard and the appearance of the alternative medical, but it is one of the politician responsible of many of war crimes in Jugoslavia.
Karadžić will be tried in the International Criminal Court, I hope that during the try will emerge not only the individual faults of the ancient Serbish-Bosnian leader, but also the co-responsibility and the complicities that made possible many of the crimes against the humanity committed during the Jugoslavian war.
But if Karadžić has been captured (and I hope Mladić will be too in a short while), the problems of the after-Dayton Bosnia are still open: the Republic is organized in a very difficult equilibrium, with double police, double transport companies, triple scholastic curricula… The Country has actually three different decision-making authorities: the common institutions, at the state level, and two executive and legislative powers, one for each Entity (Bosnian Croato-Muslim federation and Republika Srpska); after that there exist also special autonomies for the Brcko District; trying to coordinating everything there is one high international representing.
This Babylonian confusion was a good way for exit from the war, but now is not able at all to drive the State.
The capture of Karadžić is narrated in two different way from the TV of the two Entities : if the Republika Srpska TV is underlining that the responsibility are individual and Karadžić is something of the past, the Federation TV underlines that Karadžić is the founder of the Republika Srpska and many of his "disciples" are sill on its institutions.
Thirteen years have passed after the end of the war, but the Bosnia-Herzegovina is devised in the deep of his soul, the Bosnian people is splitted in three rivers and the discord between the three grow every day: Karadžić has been captured, but his poison is still circulating…
