tt.01 wrote:Regional statistics - no plans. "Regional data" is big piece of information, which I am not willing to maintain. Just my opinion, I think that the best case will be if this data will be available directly from EBT in some downloadable format, and then 3rd party applications can use it.
Regional data was the most asked feature, that's why plans were changed, and new version has minimal support of it.

Thanks, this ill be very much appreciated!

The new 0.011 file has some problem, though. I can't decompress it.

Yeah me too.
I can confirm that file attached to the first message is broken. By some reason size of the file is changed after/during upload/download. Will try to find the reason.

Available at github pages here.

Hi,
Regions button - select folder with regions files.
Filenames should be "codes_*.txt". Old files which came with NIG can be used with one small modification. Just add one line in the beginning of the data. Line is "Country=<country_name_as_in_csv>", for example "Country=Finland".
Currently only limited support of user defined regions is available (check more in readme.txt)

Hello tt.01,

what a nice tool! Thanks for programming!!! :D
And it is very fast. Very good work! :D

And I'm happy to include my own codes_*.txt-Files in it! And my own maps as well! :D :D

Hi & Thanks MuenzMuc !

You have really interesting maps added to the generated statistics pages. But so far app is not dealing with any graphics creation...
Ideally I prefer to keep all codes_*.txt files in one place (somewhere in Internet) and separated from application itself. In this case such files can be used by several applications/services, of course, if we keep the same file format.

It's fast enough for mid-small notes count, but as already reported is slow with 1M+ notes.

This is a good idea.
But for the application it's better if the user can decide for himself which codes_*.txt-Files he wants to use. So it's individual.

So no problem for me at the moment. Maybe 50 years later...

Does anyone have some kind of nice regional files I could use with this?

Preferably Finland but any will do.

Hi, You can use regional files from NIG with minor modification. But those files contain really old data.

Hi,

Today's application update has most of my own ideas implemented and features proposed by other users.
Also some examples of regional files (with very outdated information) are now available at github here. Check also comments there.

Thanks! Excellent UI. A bit longer to process data, though, if I remember it right. My less than 20k notes took a few seconds to yield reports.

For anyone concerned, this is no April Fools' prank, it's really a legit and excellent update.
