There is very interesting discussion about D-shortcodes. I have got one D002 note. I was very suprised, because all others have been D001 notes. I looked it very carefully, therefore I`m sure it´s real. It was new 100 € note, shortcode D002E3, serial number L136 and I found it at the local bank.

I've updated the list.

@ er-felky - could you tell me the value of your Greek note? Was it a €10?

@ Elmo - you have quite a few notes for the list! Could you please tell me the value and first letter/ 3 numbers of the serial number? Also, if you remember if it is a Trichet or not.

New Rule

Postby Fjon » Fri Nov 26, 2004 12:07 pm

Seeing as there are some notes that may or may not be typos, I am going to put it to a vote. I am not qualified enough to make an educated guess. Whenever I see a note which to me seems way too high I will put it to a vote.

The first two:

Batavorum: P020B5 (current record = P011)
ellinoora: D009D4 (current record = D002)

To me these seem way too high. What do you say?

My D002C4 L138 -note was Duisenberg. I'm pretty sure that Sport-Mass' note was a Duisenberg also.

I'm sure that ellinoora's D009 is a typo. I've entered 9005 pcs of twenty-notes and so far all of them are D001's.

I have plenty of D001 notes, but their serial begins with L, this one though is Pxxxx3792xxx. And i'm pretty sure that it's not a typo. Most of my notes are finnish and this one isn't, so it's my special and rather unique note. How can that be proven? Then my note would be definitely higher...

I have also D006C4 Image (serial begins also with P) and D004B4 Image (serial begins with X)..

I had also one D009 but that is L -serial, so it's a typo I guess. Those D003B6, D003C2 and D006G4 I mentionel before are all P-serials. Their value is 5€. I guess they might be typos, but I don't know. Could I have mistyped D instead of G or something? (This speculation could also help me to fix those serials. )

Aargh...I'm very new at €billtracking and D is the only shortcode I haven't gotten yet. :( ..do I need to go back to Finland to get one? (When I was there it was still markka).

To think of all the euros I let pass through my hands without tracking them (especially since I saw a lot at work!) :x ...can we rewind the clock back to 1/1/2002 now that I know about this site? :P

To quote a great British sitcom, "carry on everyone, you're all doing very well..."

Perhaps I should have said, "EURO doing very well..."

I'll shut up now until I have another high code to report

lmviterbo wrote:Btw, the rule of showing one letter and the first 3 digits of the serial doesn't seem wise to me, as notes appear like this on EBT: #Xxxxx8469xxx. Why not keeping that rule? Now for these notes everybody is able to know digit positions 1-3 and 5-8, remaining only 3 hidden digits. Mind that some of the hidden can even be inferred from the note's value and/or shortcode.

(sorry, imleH, got here first  )

If we don't put the url in the post, nothing could happen, and when there is an url, then we still have 4 numbers you don't know anything about.
If someone tries to enter the same serial he would be considered as a faker very fast because I think it's not easy to enter 100 (not 1000) notes without being suspicious to other users.

Those Ds should have been Fs in these cases I guess.
Because the D and the F are very close to each other on the keyboard...
And there are P-notes printed by F circulating in Finlans, as you'll know.

P011 - X01 ?
Are you sure about it?
It sounds a bit strange to me.

(btw: I didn't receive any P011 note yet)
