How to quote

Post by Batavorum »

If I want to quote someone who has an earlier statement within a topic, so far I used te "quote"-button (once before and once after the text).

I see from other posts a quote with the line "... wrote". Please can someone teach me how to do that :?:

It's easy. Just click the 'quote' button and try.

This is what I get when I press the quote button over your post:

Code: Select all
If I want to quote someone who has an earlier statement within a topic, so far I used te "quote"-button (once before and once after the text).

It ends up looking like this:
Batavorum wrote:If I want to quote someone who has an earlier statement within a topic, so far I used te "quote"-button (once before and once after the text).

Everything between
and
are put into the quotebox.

If you change the text in
Batavorum wrote: to for example
Blahblah wrote:, the quote will begin with the text "Blahblah wrote:"

An example:
Blahblah wrote:If I want to quote someone who has an earlier statement within a topic, so far I used te "quote"-button (once before and once after the text).

You can write any text inside the quote box yourself by simply writing anything in between
and
, just as you can change the name of the quoted person using the method I described above.

Dakkus, thank you for your explanation. Only it doesn't work :( . This is what I do:
1 I select the sentence that I want to quote in your post (see below).
2 I push ctrl-c (copy)
3 In the post-reply I first push the "quote"-button
4 Then I press ctrl-v (paste)
5 At last I push the "quote*"-button again.

The code that appears in the message body is the following:

Code: Select all
This is what I get when I press the quote button over your post:
It looks like:

I can enter your name as mentioned so it looks like this (thangs for that hint):

Code: Select all
This is what I get when I press the quote button over your post:
That looks like:

it depends if you are answering one message in the same topic.... if it's, you only have to click the quote that you can see in the same message that you want to answer.

if is a message from other topic you should dot it for manual...

Saludos and good night!!!! :) :)

But sometimes people have man quotes from different people (see the discussions in the Europe-map for example.) Do they only quote the first person and add the rest manually?
