Euro-sign test

I see that quite a few people have problems with the Euro-sign in the posts which displays like very weird characters...

Just wanted to tests my Euro-sign on my home-computer:
Here it comes:

€ = Euro

Look at this thread, they say it's a browser problem:

Another way to type the Euro sign: press and hold the left Alt, type 0128 using the numeric keypad, release left Alt and the char appears.

left Alt+0128: €

right Alt (Alt Gr)+e: €

Nope, not here. Some other post display the € sign OK.
I'm not using the € sign often. Mostly I use '5 Euro 25' or 'E 5,25' or something.
On usenet I many times see it is going wrong and the posts have a ?
instead of the €. That's why I almost never use the special sign.

My € did work everywhere in the past, I really don`t understand why not here?! :x
