Hello!

I am staying at Rijswijk for the easter weekend and i would like to know is there some spesific amount that when you withdraw from ATM (Rabobank) you get only :note-5: and :note-10: notes.

For example in Estonia if you withdraw 135e from ATM you get 11x :note-5: and 8x :note-10:

Thanks for your help!

Hi Sleijeri, the Rabobank ATMs give a maximum of 8 notes of the same value to non-customers. So 120 euros should get you 8x :note-5: and 8x :note-10:.

And to check if the ATM has :note-5: : the screen of the ATM displays 3 pictures. One of them shows the denominations that are present in the ATM. But my site shows no ATMs with :note-5: in Rijswijk. But that information may be out of date.
There is an ABN AMRO ATM with retailmix. It will give you 40 notes in one transaction, but it does not always work with foreign bank cards.

One can better go to ABN-AMRO, Koningin Julianalaan 353, Voorburg; it seems to have the famous retailmix where you can get (if filled) 40 x :note-5:. Den Haag seems to be removed. (52.074673,4.360666) The atm should be on the outside; so also after openinghours. I have not checked it out. Information comes from someone else on this forum.

Hello,

I will travel to Amsterdam in september for a week.
Is it possible for a tourist to change e.g. :note-50: in :note-5: at lokal banks?

Thank you

Last summer, I was in Utrecht for the Dutch summer meeting. There, I couldn't change. I only tried the ING, the only ones which might have some counters left. But if you aren't a customer oft the ING, it won't work. I've been told that I should not even try the others (ABN-AMRO, Rabobank).....

I would doubt it, too. The Dutch banks have gone very far in automatising the banking process.

ING is the only bank left with some cash in the office but they will only change for customers and have recently even restricted that.
So I very much doubt that they will do it for a tourist.
Maybe GWK will do it, but last time I heard they charge 1% for that.

I'm not sure if it would be possible for foreigners, but it's an idea to try.

If you're flying to/from Schiphol Airport, maybe you can change at the ABN AMRO banks at the airport.
But in that case: enter the notes as Schiphol, not as "Amsterdam".

As postcode you best can use "1118". With the letters it's more accurate, but each ABN AMRO at the airport have different letters in their postcode.

They are gone too far... Then I saw kind of advertisement on the Rabobank in my town: 'In the past you had to go to the bank for this and that'. Actually what I wanted to do is take a marker and replace the 'had to' for 'could'

Never seen it before. The text is
PLAK OP
€ 0,50
€ 1,- € 2,-
MUNT
(not entirely sure about the 3rd line) which means "stick this to € 0,50 € 1,- € 2,- coin"
I googled it and found nothing specific, except that there are websites where you can order stickers to put on coins.
