I've just been informed that the above link does not work on a computer and only works off a mobile phone. Should you be interested in joining the group please log in to this site via a mobile or message me directly with your mobile (include the international code) and I will add you directly.Bullmeister wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 7:27 pm Chaps,

Hello
Question about mobile phone number in Italy
Can you easily make différence between local phone number and mobile phone number in Italy
from France we dial +39 then for exemple :
Ufficio turistico 030-374-8726 is it local phone number ?
And
Biciclettaio Matto 333-300-7816 is it mobile phone number ?
First number 3 (other) means mobile phone ?
In France (don't dial 0) but +33 (0)
1 to 5 are local phone number 6 and 7 are mobile phone number and 8 special number
Thank you if you also answer by mp

+39 is the international "calling code" such as +33 for France.Jackgaillard wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 5:51 pm Hello

If a number begins with 0, then it is a landline number (see here to know where the call comes from), if there is a 3 it's a mobile phone number, if it begins with 800 it's a "numero verde" (toll-free number). There are other kinds of numbers, such as those beginning with 4, that are special numbers (toll-free or not, used mainly by phone companies), 5 and 7 are uncommon.
1 is used for emergencies: 112 (general emergency number: if you need help, call it), 113 (police), 115 (firefighters), 117 (Guardia di Finanza, i.e. financial crimes)
eg. 030- means that the call is coming from Brescia

Dommage que (l'animateur de l'émission) Gerry Scotti ait commenté en disant qu'il y a beaucoup de gens qui n'ont rien à faire

Hello,
Anyone know which banks ATM:s in Italy dispense 100€ notes still? Going to Venice and around next week and would prefer to withdraw larger denominations.

Hi Zarkam, welcome in Italy and I hope you have a good stay.
As far as I know, no ATMs in Italy dispense notes.
From the majority of them you can obtain and , from other ones and
You can pick your little denominations into bank and ask for change them in

Re: Comments from/to non-Italian forumers
Ah, just remembered an episode from ca. 10 years ago in Naples when I withdrew 300€ from an ATM and got 3 x Which at the time was a bit inconvenient but now would have been preferrable Will see if I can hoard enough small notes over the weekend, which could be tricky as banks in Finland don't like to give them particularly eagerly at least in Helsinki.
Re: Comments from/to non-Italian forumers
What is actually the best way for a foreigner without Italian bank account to exchange or get Euro notes in Italy
Re: Comments from/to non-Italian forumers
Hi Arminius
I'm not sure if it is the best way for a foreigner without Italian bank account to exchange or get Euro notes in Italy, but you can try to visit Commercial Centers where there is a Supermarket. In this kind of large supermarket there is often one (or more) automatic cash machine for paying your goods. You can buy a bottle of water and you can pay using a ( and aren't accepted), so you obtain banknotes for a value of € 95,00 and some coins
