If you are looking for good hit spots near Barcelona you should visit the coast around Barcelona, Girona and Tarragona. Lot's of tourists who spend there bills there and ATM's are available for them to spend more money. The city of Barcelona has a low hitratio, but places like Malgrat de Mar, Blanes, Santa Susanna and Salou are good spots for (international) hits.

You want to cover close to all cataln dots, you will not have serious problem, but it's obvios that some dots will be more difficult than others. If you agree, in the dots where you will have no problem to get bills, I'll give you only the name of biggest, best connected and "most appropiate for the course of the dothounting" cities. In the other dots, I'll give you some tips to get the dot easier (best conections, ATMs, etc.). I'll try to give you a couple of ATMs direccions for every town I propose in that dots. I take "La Caixa" and "Catalunya Caixa" because both are catalan and both are big enough to cover a lot of cities. I don't know how much is the comission for non-client people. If you (or anyone) know the company with the smallest comission, I'll look for their ATM too. I'll edit the posts as I check each day. If you need more information, just ask for it.rlaurenssen wrote:Well, I made a final plan. I have a few day's and have the following in mind:
Numeration of the dots: bottom-up, left-right.
Gracias

Thursday
1.- It's the last to the south dot of the day. Most of the dot is a mountanious area, and in the coast area there are only beaches or campsites (and a small part of Cambrils, wich fits in the other dot). Best options to get that dot is going through Reus.
You can go to Les Borges del Camp. ATMs:
"La Caixa" Avinguda Señora de Gener, 83
"Catalunya Caixa" Carrer Catalunya, 1
Other options are Montbrió del Camp or Mont-Roig del Camp. No problem to get bills in any of the two cities. ATMs:
Montbrió del Camp
"La Caixa" Avinguda Sant Jordi, 2
"Catalunya Caixa" Avinguda Sant Jordi, 15
Mont-Roig del Camp
"La Caixa" Avinguda Catalunya, 17
"Catalunya Caixa" Avinguda de Reus, 1
2.- Tarragona, Reus.
3.- Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú, El Vendrell.
4.- Gavà, Castelldefels.
5.- Barcelona, L'Hospitalet, Sant Cugat, Terrassa, Sabadell (for saying a few, that dot has a lot of big cities).
6.- Mataró, Vilassar de Mar.
7.- Llinars del Vallès, Sant Celoni.
8.- Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Maçanet de la Selva, Vidreres.
9.- The only really problematic dot of the day. There's no urban core in the dot, only some beaches of Palamós. I haven't been in that beaches, so I don't know if is easy to get bills, but I asume there must be some beach bar. There are a few bills registered in that dot, so you can look at Cala Margarida, la Fosca or S'Alguer and see what do you find. Palamós only has one Postal Code, so you'll have to specify the name of the beach at registration, and maybe ask for a reallocation of the dot.
10.- Girona.
11.- Palafrugell, Begur
12.- Figueres.
13.- Roses
Finished

Sunday
You have a very easy route in the upper dots in Sunday. A2 pass through all the dots. A2 is a free of payment highway that passes through or very close to all important cities and it's independent of the urban traffic.
This route will be on Sunday, so I'll add more ATMs.
1.- If you want to get another autonomous community (Aragón) you can go to Fraga. If not, Alcarràs.
Alcarràs
"La Caixa" Carrer Major, 24
"Catalunya Caixa" Carrer Major, 89
Fraga
"La Caixa" Avenida de Aragón, 19-21
"Catalunya Caixa" No ATM
2.- Les Borges Blanques

"Catalunya Caixa" Carrer de Lluis de Carulla, 11

"La Caixa" Carrer Muralla de Santa Tecla, 30
"Catalunya Caixa" Plaça Major, 11
4.- Esparraguera (A2), Vilafranca del Penedés or Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (that's the dot of EBT visit to Freixenet).
Esparraguera has a little part out of the dot, but it has only one postal code, so it must be in that dot. The ATMs are on the "correct" part of the city.
Esparraguera
"La Caixa" Carrer Gran, 78-80
"Catalunya Caixa" Sant Antoni, 56
5.- A part of Lleida (Postal Code: 25199) or Alpicat

Braderie de Lille : largest flea market in all of Europe
Braderie de Lille : largest flea market in all of Europe = 1st and 2 of september 2012 (to track you notes)
Just an hour outside of Paris by TGV, the town of Lille is home to one of the most anticipated events in France: the annual two-day Braderie de Lille. As the largest flea market in all of Europe, this event now attracts almost two million visitors each September.
The “Braderie” (French for “sell at a low price”) offers over 10,000 exhibitors hawking their wares with everything from knick-knacks to treasures. Saturday kicks off the Braderie de Lille, and as with any yard sale, the first day offers the best selection. Note that “window shopping” is allowed on Saturday morning, but the sale does not officially begin until 2:00 p.m.
With over 100 Km (62 miles) of vendors, the Braderie de Lille is divided up into sections: the smaller boulevards, the friendlier non-professional vendors (where you’ll find smaller antiques, records, and books), and the larger streets where there’s a huge selection of new ethnic items for sale, including fabulous artwork and paintings.
