I'm not sure though if I should be pleased or disappointed in this hit, because this is my second hit with you and I still don't have a French hit! The very first one was found by you in Helsinki.
Well, you could indeed be wondering if you should be pleased or disappointed, as this bill was released together with a "batch" of other notes at the Grand Casino of Helsinki last December. I was just coming back from South-Africa and had made a stop-over in Amsterdam-Airport, which explains the origin of the bill you found. But, the "other bills" of the released batch were all gathered in South-Africa...
So, keep on tracking untill you get one of my South-African bills...
I would like to ask where in Finland I may change without problems (or additional costs) the euronotes? Which bank do you recommend? Does each post-office offer change of notes?
Thanks for reply, I plan to visit Finland and want to be prepared:::
I would not recommend a post office as a exchange place. You should be trying a bank instead. There is a much variation between the bank offices around Finland, but Osuuspankki and Säästöpankki seem to be among the EBT-friendliest banks. Anyhow, any bank office probably will be willing to change with you, if you don't change cash worth over 2000€ at once.
Good luck,

Hi Luumi, thank you for your information. Today I have arrived in Finland, too, and of course banks are on my agenda as well.... However, already in Helsinki five years ago my experiences with Nordea were quite different and other people wrote of the same experiences. But well, maybe here in Rovaniemi they are more open to us.

Hi!
Osuuspankki is indeed my favourite, but it depends so much from the bank office and from it's staff how they are willing to serve you and change your notes. Not so much than in Spain or Estonia for example, but still.
You should already forget Nordea. My experiences from it are nothing but pleasant in general compared to other banks in Finland
Welcome to Finland! I hope you find your stay both pleasant and friendly!
