Day 3: Sunday 8 August 2004: Discover Belgium
Hey,
Sunday will be the day, that the foreign visitors can explore Belgium a bit further on their own or with a Belgian guide.
Belgian EBTmembers can offer themselves as guides overhere, non-belgian EBT-members can ask for advice/tips about travelling in Belgium over here.
We have guides for sunday:
Antwerp: Valkske
Leuven or SixflagsThemepark: Mr Euro
Gent: Van Geel

If no one is interested to be guided in Leuven, I can always organise a trip to Sixflags Belgium. It's a themepark with many rollercoasters. It's located near Brussels in a place called Wavre.
A good place to spread your bills

The Royal Palace in the centre of Brussels is open for visitors for a couple of weeks every summer. I'll post more information here once I've checked whether it is open during the EBT meeting - or if any of the locals know anything, please post here. (My holiday computer isn't too efficient and the connection is cut all the time, and it kicks me out of the tourist information web page. )
Yep, it's open in August. Daily 10.30-16.30 (except closed on Mondays).
