Pictures of EBT Meetings
If you take pictures from a meeting, you can send them to EBT for publishing in the gallery. You don't have to worry about filling our email inbox, we have more than 100GB of free disk space at the moment.
Images should be resized to 800x600 (or 600x800, depending on orientation) and compressed with a reasonable compression level as .jpg images.
Filenames should be unique, for example, avij_ebtm05_0123.jpg. However, please don't describe the action in the filename, files should not be named "it's getting late already.jpg", especially if there are special characters in the filename, such as space or characters åäö'!"#¤%&/(). The files are sorted alphabetically, so if you have 20 pictures, please number them as 01, 02, 03, ... , 20 and not 1, 2, 3, ... , 20, because in that case the gallery would sort the images as 1, 10, 11, 12, .. , 19, 2, 20, 3, 4, .. 9.
Images should be sent via email to contact(at)eurobilltracker.com as email attachments. I'd prefer to have the images sent in batches of about 5-10 (or more) per message. It's quite a lot easier to save 15 emails with 5 images each, compared to having to save 75 individual images. You can also zip/tar the pictures to a single archive, put that archive to some web server and send only the link to that archive to us.
The descriptions should be submitted in the following format:
avij_001.jpg::Something happens here
avij_002.jpg::Something else happens here
Please note that the filenames are case sensitive and there is really a double colon between the filename and the description. The gallery software uses this format, so if you provide the descriptions in the same format, I can just copy and paste them to the gallery. The descriptions for all the pictures should be sent in one email, not spread across all the emails.

I'll take mine too - as if I ever leave it at home, wherever I go! I'm not a professional photographer, I don't have the right instincts, but I have on occasion been required to take my own pictures for articles, so I am a published photographer...
And of course the good thing about taking pictures is that you're not in them yourself!

I don't háve a life.
My pictures are online. If you take this link and change the last number, you can see them, they go from 001 up to number 040.

I've been stupid enough to upload them directly from disc and not mail them to the EBT contact address. I'll try to do that tonight, with some captions...
EDIT: while I was uploading these pics I was chatting to an American friend who thought Chiel and Fons were very cute. Personally I think there were a lot of goodlooking guys at EBTM04...

Thanks, nice pictures, way better than mine (that I haven't published anywhere yet). I guess I can download the images from that site, but the captions would be nice to have.Ganymede wrote:My pictures are online.
