I'm not sure if this is true. I'm not able to change my vote.
Oh! You're right, I'm not able to do it either! I was convinced I could change my vote on other polls on the forum, some time ago, but maybe I'm wrong.
Does anyone know if this is somehow configurable, I mean, if the EBT Forum has any settings to set a poll's vote to be changeable?

I think so

When you create a poll, you can activate, or not, the option "allow re-voting". But I do not know if, making this now, resets or not the actual poll result.

I can't see that option when I create a poll.

I've looked if it would be possible to change this topic by adding the possibility of changing the vote, but it's not possible.
And I think, if it is possible, changing this topic would delete all votes already done.
So the result would be more misleading than it's at present (many people wouldn't vote again).

I wholeheartedly support this line of thought.
I do have a personal preference regarding the meeting cities, but I try to avoid influencing others' opinions too much. As for the distances and how easily reachable each candidate is, those aren't particularly important for me. I'd need to take a flight in any case, and once I need to fly, it doesn't really matter how far I need to fly. For me, attending EBTMs has been an excellent excuse for travelling around, and to see new places and new people. The "it's easier for me" approach to voting isn't suitable for me. But it's a matter of opinion, and yours may of course vary.
Money makes the world go round. We track how the money goes round the world.
Well maybe it helps E.g. when the board prefers one candidate, it's easier to go for it if the EBTers are fine either way. It would be quite inconvenient if the members supported the other candidate
So, if you haven't voted yet and want to influence the score: you still can do until tomorrow (18:00 CET) !!!
(because there's a slight difference, your vote can make a decision)
The Board has discussed this issue in tonight's meeting and unfortunately we note that there were 10 votes coming from only 2 IP addresses. These users have been created only recently and have not written any posts either. There is only 1 EBT site user who has tracked notes from these IP addresses.
The board has therefore decided to remove these 10 votes, who were all for Maribor.
This means that the result has now changed to
Maribor - 61 votes
Lisbon - 70 votes
Any of them - 16 votes.
So, the Winter Meeting 2014 will be held in Lisbon.
It's now in the hands of our Portughese members to start planning this meeting
