Unfortunately, it will be a total "no" this time.

We just checked flights to Bruxelles, but we will leave after one week, so no chance to attend the meeting, as I said before. But now you all have chance to find my notes which I'm spreading there

Flights finally booked, but only for 2 persons, so please remove Lizbeth's son from the list, only ebters of the family will arrive.

Anyway, wed 26.8. we fly from Helsinki to Frankfurt (with change of plane in Riga... no dot from there yet, but that will be changed). Then we spend day in Frankfurt, take a night bus to Luxembourg (10 euro for 2 persons) and spend day with lack of sleep (max 4 hours in moving vehicle) there. Then bus to Brussels (2 pounds for 2 persons, yes pounds, not euro, it is an u.k. company) where we will arrive thu 27.8. 21:40. If there will be some people at some pub for pre-meeting on thursday, would be nice to hit the same pub (but as we will be tired, hopefully that would be close to our hotel, which is in Marollen district between Gare centrale and Gare de Bruxelles-midi... but there is small change, that we are too tired to show up in pub). On sun 31.8. we take a train to Paris (only ticket/booking we haven't paid/reserved yet), spend one more night there before flying straight to home.

So, we have a change to get dots in Riga (that wasn't euro zone since our last visit there + we were not that active dothunters by that time yet), Frankfurt city (have dot from airport already), Luxembourg, 4 in Brussels and 3 from Paris (got one from Charles De Gaulle airport already). 10 new dots sounds nice (including 3 new countries, Latvia, Luxembourg and Belgium).

And about program. It is too early to say, if we arrive to first meeting + bank. But for dinner in early evening we should come + pub after that (I guess drinking will happen anyway with those who are not too tired). On Saturday, we probably join the group on lunch and come to Atomium, dinner and pub. On Sunday we will not be there as we want to see some Paris that day. And I have to say, even if we come to lunch/dinner, don't estimate us to eat there. Eating always depends on hunger, prices and menu. It is quite often, that we have been eaten already. Don't know if that info is useful for organizers, but at least that is said now, if it matters. This time we plan not to rent a car as time is bit short for that, but if somebody has a nice plan for some dot hunting and 2 extra seats in the car, let us know. We might be interested in that and surely could share some costs. And we both have driving licenses of course too.

Brewerhki, just a piece of friendly advice: please do not leave your reservation to the last minute: that's the weekend when the official holiday season ends, and the trains will be quite crowded in both directions (and when you do make a reservation, check the correct date as well since 31/8 isn't a Sunday).

Thanks for advice. We actually already checked prices, which is now around 60e. To compare, we checked for next day, and it was 200e. So that is another reason to book early as prices seems to raise rapidly, when travel becomes closer. True that it is last Sunday of the holiday in central Europe (in Finland, holiday ends 2 weeks before). And yes, correct date is 30.8 Well, tomorrow is payday from work, so after bank visit it might be time to book tickets (sure I take first notes out before paying anything)

I'll have to skip this meeting.

Booked the last train ticket from Brussels to Paris. And also booked flight ticket to Lizbeth's son, who will fly to Brussels via Oslo alone. He will arrive around half past six on friday. So he will take a taxi to wherever we are at the moment. Probably that will be the dinner place (and he is probably hungry) at that time.
