Hello,
Today i found a bill with probably a greek text written on it. Too bad it wasn't a hit.
But is there anybody able to translate this?
I may have written it wrong though....
KATAΛOΓO KOVIΠPEΣEP.
The first word has to be Catalague i think. But what can the other word mean?

You are correct about the first word. The second does not look like Greek. Any chance you can scan it?BaliBennie wrote:Hello,

Well... are you sure about Λ or it was something like Л because the letter is the same but the second one il L in cyrillic alphabet (in quick writing is done like Λ as well...)
What look strange to me is V which does not exist nor in Greek neither in Cirillic.
Then it was a Σ, a clear one?
I'd be very curious to see the picture too!!!

Interpretation
As I understand it, it should be "ΚΑΤΑΛΟΓΟΣ ΚΟΜΠΡΕΣΕΡ", which means ""Catalogue of Compressors". If the final Σ is missing from ΚΑΤΑΛΟΓΟΣ, then the word "Catalogue" is in the accusative case.

Hi,
The Board of EBT needs a rapid translation of the following sentence ; could someone please translate it into Greek ?
"Happy New Year 2009 ! EuroBillTracker welcomes Slovakia in the EuroZone ! Track the Slovakian notes !"

I hadn't checked the forum for a couple of weeks and only just noticed your request. Here is the Greek translation of the phrase you quoted:Phaseolus wrote:Hi,

"Happy New Year 2009 ! EuroBillTracker welcomes Slovakia in the EuroZone ! Track the Slovakian notes !"
Ευτυχισμένο το Νέο Έτος 2009 ! Το EuroBillTracker καλωσορίζει τη Σλοβακία στην Ευρωζώνη ! Παρακολουθήστε την διαδρομή των σλοβακικών χαρτονομισμάτων !
I hope this is not too late to deal with what you needed the translation for.
