My experience is that Elta.gr is more accurate than Postal.gr. They should know as they are the ones assigning the codes. :)

I mean that I have found postal codes missing in Postal.gr while at the same time I could find them in Elta.gr.

Concerning the delivery time of mail, my experience from my pre-email days is that sending postcards from abroad to various postal codes in Athens, these arrived with significant differences in time.

The postal code 14446 stands for Macedonias str. in the center of Athens. The postal code located to municipality of Athens, therefore you simply put Athens as the city you found your banknote.

Only codes starting with 10 and 11 belong to the municipality of Athens. 144xx is the municipality of Metamorfosi (suburb in the north of Athens), but only 51 and 52 are valid for xx.
