Look at 1:55. I don't think it is a Belgian(Z) printercode, theirs is smaller than the one shown. So maybe a new, unknown combination with Trichet?

Thanks for this video! Interesting that ECB shows just the Trichet-:note-5: in the video. Okay, 99% of the people will not recognize a difference.10EuroWimD wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 5:21 pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKq1UnuVijA

I set the video to maximum quality and minimum speed and I think it might look like U001... Anyway, it's just another test note and not intended for circulation - just like the Z002/ZA (I'd like to know how that person managed it to "smuggle" that note)

Well spotted, bravo, 10€WD!! I have watched that video a lot of times and had never payed attention to that great detail.
I have analysed the video frame by frame. On any of the 50 frames showing the printer codes on that Trichet fiver, there isn't enough quality to be completely certain, but my best guess from the best frames would be U001 too. On some frames it looks like it could be V, or even M, or even S…, but never ever Z.

Is it a real banknote or Photoshop?

Re: Highest Short Codes (Updated on 08.01.2021)
Weird.
The several '6' in the end of the serial number are clearly shopped, which is something that some folks do in order not to reveal the complete serial.
The signature and printer code do not seem doctored, though. If they are, the job was done with way more care than what was done with the serial number.
I let Fotoforensics analyse the photos. Not only the serial number side image was made in GIMP, the other side (the signature + printer code size) was also made in GIMP.
That may still amount to just the tidying up of a scan (although it's weird that it was from a screenshot, according to Fotoforensics).
Error level and Hidden pixels tools do not show clear signs of image tampering.
Conclusion: I can't conclude anything.

Well, 200€ Lagarde / N was found already (NB / N004), but it wouldnt make sense for N001 / NZ... you can see N001A1, and the serial starting with NZ711... also does not match with the usual serial numbering that should be at least NZ11 then for A1 position. Weird!
Banknotenews is usually a reliable source, but the owner relies on the quality of the content sent by his readers and customers.
Usually Owen is mostly interested in Signature / Printercode combinations to list them in his catalogue, thus he is not paying attention into the validity of Serial numbers / plate positions etc. This note is listed as B113n4 in TBB catalogue now, which is indicating Printercode N with Signature 4 (=Lagarde). NA, NB or NZ are not mentioned.
By the way, a friend of mine has found this new combination in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Re: Highest Short Codes (Updated on 08.01.2021)
I'd like to stress out that ErGo had already alerted to the main problem: the serial number isn't real: checksum is not correct.
If the letter A was there instead of Z, the checksum would be correct. But, as A0000001A said, NZ71 doesn't look like a valid numbering either. Theoretically, for a test series like this supposedly would be, it would be possible to restart the numbering at NZ71, go all the way to NZ99 without missing a (in 2U's fashion instead of 2N), then all zeroes (NZ0). These 40 numbers would fill the 8×5 grid.
