There's a Spanish trader who often sells and auctions on Delcampe under the name of dag68, who's auctioning at the moment an undisclosed amount of uncirculated V018/VB CL. I wrote him to ask this:
Their answer:Would you be so kind as to say what is the lowest serial you have of this combination (50 V018 Lagarde)?
To be honest, I can't make much of this, especially because of the term "charge", which often means different things according to the plates or even the person who uses it. If we may assume that it is used here as I use the term "cycle", then maybe this means that V018 CL notes are on cycles 494 to 496, that is, starting on VB9720.the serial number is very high because it is the continuation of V018 Draghi. Lagarde do not start from VB0000 but VB97... we are almost to VB9999. the price of V018 and V019 is high because they are limited. V18 just 3 charges are know and V019 has just 6. you have to know that the average of charges of a Spanish 50 is around 20.
But we also know for a fact that there are V019 CL on cycle 496, which starts from VB9800. (There's a photo of a V019 VB9836 CL on enotesprice.)
So, if we assume that cycles do not overlap (like Seltaeb, I assume they will not overlap here), it might mean that cycle 493 (from VB9680 and including the first VB97) is also V018 CL. Or maybe it's just two cycles instead… Or maybe they really overlap (which would be the only way for V019 VB CL to lye on 6 cycles)…
Anyway, I find it equally likely that dag68 has/have access to a central bank with someone ready to find notes for them, but they actually don't know much about the exact numbers they will get.
Final note: Marty, you wrote VA instead of VB on the table of Plates with two signatures known by EBTCheck.
