Here you can ask everything related to Slovenia and EBT in Slovenia in English
Other languages accepted, but don't pretend an answer if we can't understand your question

Hi there,
there was some advertising, but it's almost a year ago...
I was just asking on the Slovene part of the forum if somebody has some good ideas about that. We'll manage that in some way

Welcome to all the Slovenians.

I have an idea for promoting EuroBillTracker in Slovenia.
You could mail to the Slovenian media, so they can also say something about EuroBillTracker on the first of januari, when the Euro is big news in Slovenia. You can associate the Euro with EuroBillTracker in the media.

Hello to everyone!

Regardnig the promotion of EBT in Slovenia! It won't be nessecary. Everything connected with the euro after jan 1st will be very popular in SI (looking and collecting coins with different national sides, watching shows regarding topics on TV, everything on the internet incl. EBT etc like you had in 2002).

I also think that we are one of the rare countries that came into EU in 2004, that majority of citizens supports changeover from national currency
to euro (in Poland they are talking even about the referendum about the issue)
Lep pozdrav / Greetings

Hmm. Awesome :)
Thanks to my slightly distant current location, I'm probably not gonna get any hits with Slovenia, but what the heck. Still cool to have new people among us!
I'd be happy to see a Slovenian in the next EBT meeting, BTW ;)
In fact I've never seen a Slovenian in my life 8O

And about advertising.. Of course everything related to Euro will make a top story, but it won't help if nobody ever mentions the press that EBT exists. So, send those messages to the reporters.

I would like to welcome Slovenia into the eurozone in the end of this month. Hopefully many people will track eurobills in this beautiful country. Unfortinatly I forgot to track any euro's when I was there in 2005 (I wasn't that fanatic at that time, and more interrested in the Tolarjev coins).

Personally I like tracking eurobills in as many locations as possible. A nice tool to see the statistics is NIG. It contains many locations information, like municipalities or provinces. I have created a file that calculates the Slovenian postcodes into municipalities (Občina). Hopefully it will be available in the NIG download soon.

Before that time the file can be downloaded : codes_slovenia.txt

I hope I haven't made to many mistakes, as I don't speak much Slovenian and based my information on wikipedia and posta.si.
Jelle zonder internet.

Exactly. If things are going now in Slovenia as they were in Portugal when Euro was being launched this is precisely the best time to send press realeases.. Press will grab anything Euro-related ;) Just send a few e-mails to newspapers, Tv.. there are only 5 slovenian users this month, we want more! ;)
