On the 22nd June, 2009, the Central Bank of Malta will issue a new numismatic coin as part of the Europa Programme 2009. This coin will be available in gold and silver versions and will feature the Castellania building which is situated in Merchants Street Valletta. This building used to serve as the Law Courts during the time of the Portuguese Grand Masters and today houses the Parliamentary Secretariat for Health in the Ministry for Social Policy.

It's a nice coin. Although, I liked the Castille one a bit more.

I am also a person who finds a great deal of interest in such coins. I liked the La Castellania coin more.
Thanks a lot, Parker11.
Yes, I'm very proud, to say the least, that we maltese have loads of very beautiful things and places of interest in our beautiful, tiny country! Also, I'm very sure that in your country there a lot of wonderful things and places like ours (if not more) which you must be very proud of (I hope)!
I hope that they are all carefully looked after so that they'll not only be commemorated on special coins on special occasions but also appreciated by all in person for generations to come.
Btw... which country are you from?
