Back from my holiday, I haven't yet finished entering all my banknotes gathered in Northern Germany, and I thought I give you more information of our Association.

The shipment of money is obviously a limit for people to join. I have now an appointment with a bank on Thursday and I hope to get really soon the details for international bank accounts.

Please note that sending money from a European bank account to another one is free of charge, therefor much cheaper than paypal.

I have not yet opened a PayPal account, but that could happen in the future. The problem with this system is that the costs are high regarding to the amount of the annual fee, which is low (10€). The Board should figure out how to handle these extra-costs.

For becoming a member, you follow the details contained in this post

I have asked to create a dedicated forum for all issues related to the association.

I believe this will help for clarity.

I have a good news : if I succeed to have our President, de-jo, send a fax tonight to our Bank, then I could have a account number ... by tomorrow !

De-jo is on holiday in the French Alps and I have sent to his hotel a fax that he ought to sign... Then I'll have all elements for having the desired account number.

I will prepare a message to be sent with an explanatory note to the EBT-Community with the information letter.

Currently there have been 4 working groups established:

b. Web development (nerzhul)
c. External communication (Phaseolus)
d. data base (de-jo)
I would like to volunteer in one of them. But I really don't know which skills are needed. Could the chairmen of the respectice groups give a short scratch on what skills are welcome (I know every volunteer is welcome ;-) ).

For me it's free. I think EU money transfers musn't be more expensive than domestic money transfers.

Hmm, since 28th January, 2008, transferring money from one bank account in the Single Euro Payments Area to any other account in that area should be equal in cost and conditions to domestic transfers. So if domestic transfers are free of charge, SEPA transfers should be too.

I am not sure about your statement, as this would mean that Italy does not comply with an EU Directive.

Unfortunately that's true. As my deal with the bank:
domestic and SEPA:
to a bank branch : 0.50 Euro via Internet - 1.00 Euro via Mobile
to a different bank: 1.00 Euro vIa Internet - 1.50 Euro via Mobile
If you do it directly in bank at the desk: 2.50 Euro

I have a problem with the entire process of joining the Association.

As in our case there are some accounts in which there is more than 1 person that inserts bills, therefore it's obvious that any persons in the team that wants to join the Association should pay the annual fee.
As Phaseoulus requested just the nick and the email address he could have some double entries. Wasn't it better to request the userid AND the name + the email?

So in our case that should be:
ID 63885; jenny&me; her-email@somewhere
ID 63885; b100w11; my-email@somewhere

Of course when the team is larger and the names are not in the nick there should be another way to tell which member is which... i.e. ans[1], ans[2].... ;-)

Your problem is not so large.

Indeed, joining the association is a voluntary step undertaken by users of EBT.

if you, as b100w11, wants to join, then please fill in the form and send the payment of your fee.

and if jenny&me joins to join, she will join.

it ain't so difficult. 8)

just a short question: at what date should the annual fee be paid? each year on 01.01.200X or on another date?
or doesn't the date matter?

thx
