New members for the Board of Directors

Post by avij »

Hi, we have quite a few available seats in the Board of Directors and we would like to fill them. Interested users from the following countries are advised to step forward if they wish to participate in the Board of Directors:

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia(*), Spain(**) and one member representing non-EU countries.

(*) gergapsek has stepped down from his BoD position on 6th March 2016.
(**) N0W1K has been elected as a representative for Spain, but as she has not been in the last three meetings, the seat is now open according to our statutes.

Technically the BoD members do not need to be members of the association, but I would personally hope that BoD members would also become members by paying the membership fee.

There is no particular deadline for volunteering. The BoD will process all the applicants whenever necessary. The board has a meeting approximately every month.

I don't really know what are the BoD's tasks, but if that is not a huge problem, I would apply for the :flag-es: seat.

Thanks for your interest Raumi.

The role of t BOD member is to attend meetings in order to discuss EBT related matters. These could be to improve situations, to tackle problems and manage EBT's administration. You might also be required to follow some issues during the month. Any ideas are also welcome.

The board usually meets online once a month through IRC.

Not all countries were represented in tonight's General Assembly, which led us to a few vacant seats:
  • Belgium
  • Cyprus
  • Estonia
  • Greece
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Malta
  • Portugal
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Non Eurozone countries
If you would be willing to participate in the Board of Directors, please let us know.

edit: Portugal is now represented by José Bernardino since 10th December 2016.
