Check your political compass

Post by lmviterbo »

Just in case you don't quite know where you are (politically speaking), take the excellent Political Compass test on http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass. It has not only one left-right scale, but two: Economic Left/Right and Authoritarian/Libertarian (whose extremes are fascism and anarchy). Lefties are a bit too leftwise on the scale becaues it was made by Americans, but it's really good. They also show the position of some well-known leaders, for comparison.

They assigned me -6.25 on the Economic LeftRight scale and -5.74 on the Libertarian/Authoritarian. That puts me to the left and further "libertarian" than Nelson Mandela...

If that is the case then I'm perhaps exactly in the center with my -2.5/-2.5 result. I don't know if this is due to my realistic view of the world or my lack of political understanding...

That means that I am between Gerhard Schröder and Tony Blair.

Anyway, now we all know why i always have so little notes in my wallet :-)

PS: as to the libertarian part.. I completly disagree, see my self as authoritarian enough, LAW AND ORDER!.. just because I think abortion or marijuana should be legalized, that doen's mean I wouldn't agree in the strict aplication of those laws
