but I love both Rugby-football union & league .
Perpignan in the very south of France has the best French teams in 2009 in both Rugby union (rugby à XV) and Rugby league (rugby à XIII)

Zulte-Waregem, former second class football team, is now really kicking ass in first class And that with only 1 (one) professional player )

But my favorite team is a volleyball team: Lennik. and Modena abroad.

Meanwhile, my loyalty has shifted a little. I'm still no fan of the big one from Brussels, RSC Anderlecht, but R. Union Saint-Gilloise, in 3rd league, has stolen my heart. Or more accurate: it's quaint stadium and history has. And it's location, a mere block apart from where I live. Not that I have seen a match already...
Zulte-Waregem has become a reasonable team in the second part of the upper league, FC Brussels continues to have financial and sports problems, Standard has played some very remarkable seasons (including becoming national champion 2 times in a row), and what KME Machelen, has done, I have absolutely no idea
In volley, Lennik ended 2nd in the play offs, and 3rd in competion.

We last won a trophy when I was 4 years old, in 1976, and I have only very vague memories of travelling to see the team bring the cup home at their ground, Maine Road. Since then, nothing, nada, nichts, nowt, zero, zilch, rien, 零, not a sausage, niets!!
