It might be faster than anticipated, I noticed the WiFi doesn't work anymore. Quite unfortunate when you're outside the EU, although I noticed Norway is as good as EU for roaming, now. Of course, I noticed after I bought a (useless) data package for countries like Switzerland...

Same phone, Nokia 8.1, since last week. My previous phone lasted longer than I thought a year ago, but was in need of replacement.

Well, it's Nokia branded, but the company is Hmd global, and it's no longer Windows phone either, that is truly dead. Still, it's a Finnish company started by former Nokia employees, who got a licence to use the name for a few years.

I have this phone 24 years.
I use it every day (as a back up phone)
The numbers have all rubbed off and
It has travelled over 1000000 km in the car.
I do not like change, but I am happy to embrace new technology.
I was also very happy that one of my notes was found in Nokia.

Edit
I have never owned a smartphone.
I want a phone just for calls.
I have never owned a bill pay phone. I have always been prepay. I pay 10 euro
every 28 days for unlimited calls .
When I say I do not like change, I mean, if something is working,
even after 24 years, I will keep using it until it finally packs up.

When I finally buy a smartphone. It will have to be in the 200 euro region,
sim free,no contract, any network. Large screen, big battery.
I think maybe a Motorola G7

3 years later, and I'm still using that Nokia 8.1. Had the USB-C connector replaced in January and numerous chargers and cables, but otherwise it's still working fine. There's a single crack in the screen for a bit over 2 years, too, but it never really bothered me. If another phone is released that might be interesting, I might change again, but there's clearly no rush, I could do another year or even 2 with it.
