On my driving licences, it's written "Québec" on the first one and "République française" on the second one. :)

I also have two passeports on which I can read Canada and European Union.

Pretty much German, with some Polish influence on my father's side (born in Silesia before the war), but mom's 100% North German countryside.

But I've been living in Japan for the past 21 years... ;-).

I'm almost 100% finnish, but my mothers grandmother had russian maiden name and I'm not sure if her ancestors are from Russia. It's not an impossibility, because my family has lived max. 100 km away from border atleast since 1600s.

Also it's known that my surname has arrived to Finland from Sweden in the Middle Ages.

Hmm.. But apparently all the other four non-pan-european governments in Brussels are active, aren't they?
Is it anything else than foreign politics that is missing?

yes, the federal government is still in control of quite some thing.
The entire justice department for example.
