The total price was €1615,=, so paying with a 4th €500 bill would result in
€385,= change, which is IMO too much. The remaining €115,= got paid in
fivers.

BTW, the remaining €500 bill was a Greek €500 bill! 8)

But as the secretary and the financial responsible I use the 500 note regularly for payments from the race-team. Tyres often have to be payed cash on the track and since 4 tyres costs 1000 euro.....
hi we are colleague!I am in motorsports too www.paris-dakar.net we do rally raid as paris-dakar.In our world to pay cash is the 1st rule...because as people say "At first give me cash and then u can see my camel"...hahaha.So 500 euro bills is the fastest way to pay cash in motor sports.

500 €uro Notes - Lowest Chance for a hit!

Post by ZEUS »

I used 500 €uro notes. First to see and than to feel it.

And travelling to Greece, it was a good reserve, that did not take too much space in the in the socks.

Only to change for smaller money was a little problem. I had to go to a bank, the shop had not sufficient change.

Never used a €500 nor a €200. But I once held a €100 note which belonged to my grandfather in order to write down the serial.

I have 500 €-Notes only in very rare cases (so far 17 notes), e.g. if I buy something very expensive (I never use credit cards, as they have no serial number :D), or if I take higher amounts from one bank to another (e.g. if a bank has a very good offer for money investment, and I have some money "free")

I used time to time 500 € notes, but not often.

More rare thing are, for me, the 200 € Notes. I have only two tracked because of my political-mom let me this 2 to take his numbers...

She things than in the bank they have had problems with 100 € notes and 50 € notes, than are really more usual.

I used the 500 € notes in order to move from one bank to another big quantities of money...
And if i can move the whole amount of money with one note is perfect!

No, I have never used a :note-500:.
The same goes for :note-200: and :note-100:.
I have entered two :note-100:, but well......the first one I changed at a bar (I saw somebody paying his beers with it). And I put it on my bankaccount quite a few days later. My second one I got from a ATM in a tiny village.

I have never owned one, yet, but I've already touched some and taken them to the bank. (I work in a game store)
They are quite rare, though, and the only times I've ever encountered them was around christmas, when people bought all of their presents at once.
