Do you have a Pet
My lovely wife rescued a turtle this winter from shelter. She was named after my mom as Orvokki which means same as viola. She has probably been runned over by car before she was rescued by local pet shelter and that's why her shield is not like other land turtles but much flatter.
We also have aquarium (180*60*60, so it's about 650 litres) and there is about twenty fishes and some have names (Aaron, Homer, Hero...). Most of them are bottom fishes but there are two big cichlids (Masi and Jippo) too.

I wrote that 3 years ago. Last summer (2006) two of our cats died within 5 weeks. They both reached the mature (cat)age of 18. We still had one left, but we decided to look out for a new cat. Sunday we have found our newest member of our household. She (yes it's a female cat) was born on april 20, so we have to wait until mid-june before she can come to live with us.Bugs wrote:I didn't had any pets. But recently I got married and together with my wife came 3 cats.
We named her Izzy (after a character in the tv series Greys Anatomy).
Izzy, 4 days old.
Izzy, 10 days old.
I will post a new pic when she looks more like a cat.

I have some (the exact number varies) Triops shrimp. Ok, they are not cuddly, but interesting to watch. And they are the oldest still existing species of complex animals on earth - they already populated ponds and puddles when the first Dinosaurs hatched from their eggs!
They are peculiar animals indeed - they only live 6-8 weeks as a active animal, but their dryed eggs can survive decades, perhaps centuries, nobody really knows. They wait in the sand until the day some water forms a puddle over them, then they hatch after a few hours. Thats why people in the medivals believed they rain down from the sky...
