OIL TANKER

Post by hebben-en-houden » Fri Dec 20, 2002 10:57 pm

The only people who did try to remove the oil of the beaches are the poor wifes of the fishermen... and how will those families get something to eat in the future?? :? There is no fish in the sea round there anymore :(

It is a shame, that so many people did not help at all...why was this ship not allowed to enter any harbour

It was all politics that made this all get into a bigger nightmare...
Sometimes I just hate politics

I don't know what is international press saying about this.. the biggest spanish media (like tve, or cadena ser) for weeks didn't use the expression black sea.. they were forbidden..

what Portuguese and Galician people believe, is that the spanish government (with pressions and support of the french government) tried to remove the boat south, to portuguese waters.. this was of course the worse solution..

until now portuguese beaches had luck with the wind.. but the bigger part of oil is still in the ocean.. waiting..

in Galicia there are huge manifs every day.. but until now aznar is still the PM and fraga the governor... SHAME ON THEM!

There is a big danger for a new disaster like this. :( Russians don't seem to care what kind of ships transport their oil. First "Prestige" and now a big oil tanker "Stemnitsa" that is not desinged for icy conditions is used to transport oil through icy Gulf of Finland. It is possible that this kind of ship can be damaged by moving ice.

There is over 50 cm of ice and several ships have been trapped in the ice. Some of them have been damaged by the ice.

I just heard on the news they caught a ship near the Tricolor throwing oil out. Volunteers reported earlier that the birds were greased with different sorts of oil. So these situations are used to get rid of oil.
They create a desolation and call it peace.
